Learn how to paint a beautiful wooden sign! No experience or sturdy hand needed. We'll use stencils to keep our font nice and crisp, and guide you through each step. No free-handing necessary!
God has entrusted my husband and me to 5 amazing boys who call us Dad and Mom. The oldest two (14 & 13) arrived the "traditional" way. Our third, (also 13) is only 7 weeks younger than our second son. His arrival involved a long-awaited trip to the Philippines when he was 4 years old. And the youngest two (7 & 5, not pictured for legal reasons) were dropped off in a CPS van with "scary bars" - as they put it - in July 2021. Though my role with the youngest two has recently changed due to custody returning to their parents, we still have them over multiple times each week and consider them part of our family. I jokingly say that my involvment in their lives is more like an overly-involved grandma. As King David said in Psalm 23, "my cup overflows". Along with living out my dream of being a wife and Mom, I've always loved to paint. When I'm not feeding my boys, I paint. I paint when I'm bored, inspired, want a challenge, or just need a change. And I've discovered that when you put a paint brush in the hands of a hurting child or teen, they begin to open their hearts and share their stories. I'm continually humbled and amazed how God has used my love for painting as a means to not only help support my family, but also open the hearts of the foster kids who walk through our doors. THANK YOU for helping make that possible. I'm thrilled that you'll be joining us for the Women's Retreat. I have no doubt that you'll leave the weekend with a renewed sense of Christ-centered identity and eagerness to chase Jesus with all your might!
